MAIN STREET - AN ORIGINAL NAME - The task of designating street names at times may be an arduous chore, but when Main Street received that title about 125 years ago there was no problem. It was the only business thoroughfare in Vacaville and it was the main one.

Family feud rocks Lagoon Valley settlers / Delaplane, Kristin [225] [ECHOS-1995-225]
Information for this article the second of two parts, came from "History of the Vaca Clan" by Jeff Paul; the Vacaville Heritage Council and the Vacaville Museum. In 1845, Vaca added to his household when he married Estefano Martinez. They had one child. The marriage didn't last.
