Delaplane, Kristin

Feb 25, 1996

Abstract: Second in a series In 1857, the town of Rio Vista was founded, with J.M. Sidwell as one of the original settlers. It was in that year that Sidwell built a hotel. The fate of that hotel was to be complete destruction, along with the rest of the area's structures, when the flood of 1862 hit with such force it drowned out the entire town.
