Abstract: Information for this article came from the Dixon Historical Society, the Dixon Public Library, and the Solano Genealogical Society. In 1855, the northeastern portion of Solano County was designated a township by the Board of Supervisors. This township, called Tremont, was adjacent to the Silveyville Township.
